Juliane Everest
Juliane practices Integrative Primary Care as an Advanced Practice Provider/Physician Assistant in central New Jersey, and was raised in NYC. As a prosperous and prominent 44 year old, single mother of 2, she discovered her own Breast Cancer tumor upon self exam. She subsequently discovered that she is the first in her entire family tree to develop the BRCA2 mutation. She continued to treat her patients, practice medicine and take the necessary steps to treat her cancer. She underwent bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and continues with hormone therapy. Her contributions come from the perspective of both provider and patient: a perspective that may be a helpful guide to those seeking true empathy from a provider’s standpoint.
